The spectators at Trowbridge Town’s Woodmarsh Lane ground were kept warm by the unseasonable autumn sunshine as well as the quality of the football on display. In a committed first half in which the ball was passed around well by both sides, neither team was able to carve out a really clear scoring chance but Bradford was struck a cruel blow when Trowbridge struck immediately after the break to go 1-0 up. But Bradford continued to play good passing football and was eventually rewarded with an equaliser just three minutes from time by Archie Sidwell in a compelling game which Rovers certainly did not deserve to lose.
