Action from the game against Melksham

After bouts of snow, heavy rain and flooding, that has disrupted the football season since Christmas, the weather was perfect for football this weekend and the Bradford Town pitch was in excellent condition.

Coming off the back of successive defeats Bradford Rovers were not short of confidence as they set about the game and the first ten minutes were keenly contested. However, seven minutes before half-time George Evans beat Rovers’ keeper Patrick Bates with a crisp shot.

During the second half, Bradford pushed forward looking for an equaliser but began to leave gaps at the back and it was not long before Kai Bush sealed Melksham’s victory with a well struck second goal. Bradford continued to attempt to find an opening but at the other end Melksham forwards were guilty of missing gild-edged chances as they fired over the bar from just a few yards out. But a hard-fought and enjoyable game finished Bradford Town 0 Melksham Town Youth Saints 2.
